King Charcoal Africa Limited operates a 100-acre plant in Tanzania's Southern Highlands, the largest timber-processing region in East Africa.
The mill runs hot presses totalling 440 daylights and two veneer drying lines, producing up to 300 m³ of plywood per day alongside hardwood charcoal briquettes.
Every log comes from planted forest — never natural forest — sourced from FSC-certified plantations, Tanzanian state forest reserves and local smallholders.
The company employs 500 people directly and supports over 5,000 livelihoods indirectly.
